My post content If you have a stay in Glasgow as part of a trip to Scotland between the 23rd July and the 2nd of August, then it is advisable to book as soon as possible, as to secure a room before they are fully-booked.

The 2026 Commonwealth Games is a large sporting event similar to the Olympic Games (though is mostly athletes from former British colonies and dependencies) and begin on the 23rd July and end on the 2nd August. Hotels and AirBnB rooms will be increasing getting booked as we approach the start of the event.

Glasgow has more capacity than Edinburgh for visitor accommodation. So no need to panic, though it is worth booking you accommodation soonish to avoid disappointment. Another solution - depending on your itinerary - is to schedule your visit to Glasgow outside of the date window of the games.
